Since its founding in 2010, Warby Parker has evolved to become the world’s fastest-growing manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. Warby Parker sells online, and has a limited number of showrooms in majore cities across the United States.

The Challenges

Warby Parker decided to disintermediate their entire supply chain, which meant that they needed a software capable of raw material management, supply chain tracking, order management, billing, and fulfilment from multiple channels and sites.

The Solution

  • NetSuite’s accounting management suite met Warby Parker’s unique business requirements. Warby Parker is a philanthropic corporation that donates a pair of glasses for every pair a customer buys, so its accounting software had to have double bottom line reporting functionality.
  • Trajectory helped customize NetSuite’s order processing functionality to allow for unique fulfilments according to attributes such as size, color, prescription, and proximity to appropriate optometry labs.
  • Due to the scale of the order processing aspect of the project that was undertaken, Trajectory provided Warby Parker with additional team members on a temporary basis to augment their in-house team.

The Results

  • The implementation of NetSuite helped Warby Parker reduce IT costs related to hardware, staffing, and up-front licensing.
